Installing Code::Blocks from source on FreeBSD

Prerequisites

wxWidgets

pkg_add -r wxgtk2-unicode

SVN client

pkg_add -r subversion

GNU autoconf

pkg_add -r gnu-autoconf

1. On PC-BSD I used pkg_add -r autotools instead of autoconf and automake

GNU automake

pkg_add -r gnu-automake

GNU libtool

pkg_add -r gnu-libtool

1. On PC-BSD used pkg_add -r libtool instead

zip

pkg_add -r zip

Building

 # sh:
 export PATH=/usr/local/gnu-autotools/bin:$PATH
 export ACLOCAL_FLAGS="-I /usr/X11R6/share/aclocal -I /usr/local/share/aclocal"
 # csh:
 setenv PATH /usr/local/gnu-autotools/bin:$PATH
 setenv ACLOCAL_FLAGS "-I /usr/X11R6/share/aclocal -I /usr/local/share/aclocal"

 cd codeblocks
 ./bootstrap
 ./configure --with-wx-config=wxgtk2u-2.8-config --enable-contrib
 make
 su -
 make install
